IT Service Manager

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a IT Service Manager to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will oversee IT and business systems operations for a remote workforce, ensuring employees have reliable access to the tools and support they need to stay productive. You will partner closely with Security and other internal stakeholders to strengthen access controls, improve compliance processes, and reduce friction across the employee technology experience. The position also has a strong focus on automation, device administration, and operational efficiency in a remote-first environment.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Responsibilities

• Oversee IT and business systems operations for remote employees
• Provide technical support and ensure timely resolution of desktop issues
• Manage onboarding and offboarding processes for devices and accounts
• Collaborate with Security to create and maintain access controls for compliance
• Work alongside security engineers on daily security tasks and access reviews
• Design automation tools to reduce manual ticket handling
• Administer a fleet of Apple devices, including policy management and upgrades
• Handle vendor relationships and maintain accurate technology spend records

Qualifications

• 5-7 years of experience managing IT in a remote-first environment
• Hands-on experience with MDM platforms, particularly Apple-based device management tools
• Deep knowledge of identity and access management tools like Okta
• Experience building security and compliance controls, especially ISO-related processes
• Proven ability to automate IT workflows through scripting or tooling
• Experience managing IT vendor relationships and budgets
• Strong communication skills with the ability to explain technical details to non-technical staff

Pay

Compensation: $130,000 – $175,000 annually
