We're hiring a Desktop Support Technician for a long-term contract role in NE Portland, OR.
Responsibilities
- Provide technical support and serve as the escalation point for complex hardware, software, operating system, network, and application issues while meeting established SLAs.
- Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, mobile devices, servers, enterprise applications, Active Directory, storage systems (SAN/NAS), and network infrastructure.
- Manage incidents, service requests, and change activities within an ITIL-driven environment, including documentation, root cause analysis, ticket tracking, and continuous service improvement.
- Perform system upgrades, patching, preventative maintenance, antivirus management, hardware deployments, software rollouts, and technology lifecycle support to ensure operational reliability.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and internal teams to support projects, technology implementations, hardware/software procurement, and business-critical IT initiatives.
- Create technical documentation, work instructions, and knowledge base content while delivering exceptional customer service, mentoring support staff, and ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Desktop Support experience (troubleshooting, Microsoft 365, password resets, user setup).
- 3+ years of experience in a Windows environment, including exposure to Microsoft 365 admin tasks.
- Experience working with Active Directory, Microsoft Intune, and Autopilot.
- Experience working with Zebra printers or other industrial-style label printers.
Pay
$32.00 - $35.00 per hour.
