About the role
KPMG is seeking an IT Senior Associate to join our Internal Audit organization. This role involves conducting or supporting complex IT internal audits in a highly technical environment, contributing to a respectful and high-performing work culture, and mentoring less experienced team members.
Responsibilities
- Conduct or support completion of complex IT internal audits with an objective mindset and professional skepticism.
- Develop engagement planning documentation, including rationale for scoping decisions and risk-based audit programs.
- Prepare or supervise the timely preparation of all audit workpapers, including draft findings.
- Effectively communicate information and audit execution status to the internal IA team.
- Participate in the overall evaluation of audit results and draft or edit audit reports for accuracy, clarity, and conciseness.
- Provide supervision, coaching, and training to associates; seek and provide upward feedback.
- Act with integrity, professionalism, and personal responsibility to contribute to KPMG’s inclusive and high-performing work environment.
Qualifications
- Minimum three years of recent internal IT audit or IT risk management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited college/university is required; CPA, CIA, CISA, CISM (or equivalent) certification is preferred.
- Knowledge of technology risks and controls related to hardware platforms, system software, and IT operational practices.
- Strong verbal/written communication, problem-solving, analytical, and independent judgment skills.
- Ability to positively influence, mentor, and be a credible source of knowledge to less experienced team members.
- Travel required up to 25%.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without the need for employment-based visa sponsorship now or in the future.
