IT Security Specialist III
Role Overview
We are seeking a seasoned and motivated developer to join the Database Security Engineering Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing design, software certifications, and process automation for various database security areas, including identity and access management, password vaulting, access management, and encryption. The main focus will be on engineering solutions for collecting database entitlements and logins, generating test cases, and addressing dormancy, revocations, and access drifts across the entire database population.
Responsibilities
- Manage the design, software certifications, and process automation for various database security areas.
- Engineer solutions for collecting database entitlements and logins across the entire database population.
- Develop and implement test cases to ensure security compliance.
- Address and manage dormancy, revocations, and access drifts in database access.
- Work within a scrum framework, utilizing agile practices and tools like Jira and Horizon.
- Collaborate with team members while also working independently on assigned tasks.
Required Qualifications
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with Python, Unix/KSH shell scripting, and PowerShell.
- Hands-on experience with Oracle, MSSQL, or other RDBMS.
- Experience with product certifications and process automation.
- Familiarity with JIRA and Horizon.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with emerging databases such as CockroachDB, Cassandra, and Postgres.
- Experience with cloud-based databases (AWS or Azure).
- Experience with GitHub Copilot.
- Knowledge of Prompt Engineering.
Work Environment
This position requires a hybrid schedule with a minimum of three days per week onsite. Due to business needs, this role has a specific start date, and candidates must be able to meet the outlined start date.
