IT Security Analyst

About the role

The IT Security Analyst will be responsible for managing IT cybersecurity, performing vulnerability and penetration tests, updating software with security patches, and developing network policies. They will also provide technical advice, train staff, and manage external cyber audits.

Responsibilities

• Global responsibility for managing IT cybersecurity.
• Advise, counsel, and educate executives and management on competitive, compliance, or financial impacts.
• Update software with the latest security patches and ensure proper defenses are present for each network resource.
• Perform vulnerability and penetration tests, identify and defend against threats.
• Analysing security requirements and recommend improvements.
• Maintain network traffic for suspicious behavior.
• Develop network policies and authorization roles, defend against unauthorized access, modifications, and destruction.
• Consult with staff, managers, and executives on best security practices and provide technical advice.
• Support the configuration of and support security tools such as firewalls and anti-virus software.
• Train staff on understanding and using security protocols.
• Ensure technical implementations align with business needs and best practices.
• Support the IT service desk and ticket management as an escalation point.
• Oversight of IT security, audit compliance, and remediation.
• Manage and perform regular Cyber Phishing campaigns to assess user resilience and training.
• Ensure IT policies are updated and comply with legal and organizational standards.
• Ensure all interactions and engagements adhere to ethical and professional standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, or a related field.
• Preference to a Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a pharmaceutical, fin-tech, or similar industry.
• Experience in a team-oriented and collaborative environment.
• Excellent knowledge of current industry cybersecurity intelligence and approaches.
• Proven experience in delivering strategic projects and service delivery.
• Experience in a highly regulated environment, laboratory, or cleanroom is desirable.
• Strong skills in Azure AD Hybrid, GPO’s, Intune, Cisco FW’s/Switches, Antimalware/AV, Mimecast, O365 Security, Defender.
