IT Security Analyst

IT Security Analyst Location: New York, NY (onsite/hybrid) Sector: Financial ServicesiO Associates are supporting a growing financial services organisation on the appointment of an IT Security Analyst to help identify, remediate, and reduce security risk across networks, endpoints, servers, and core infrastructure. The role covers vulnerability management, patching, security monitoring, and support through audits and incident response.What you will do Run vulnerability scanning, track findings, and drive remediation across infrastructure and end user environmentsInvestigate and resolve security vulnerabilities on networks, servers, workstations, and security appliancesMonitor and respond to security alerts (including SOC escalations)Support penetration testing activity and manage exceptions through to closureAssist with internal and external security audits, including evidence gathering and remediation of audit findingsMaintain and improve incident response and disaster recovery documentation from a security perspectiveManage security access monitoring for end users and support security policy enforcementWork with third party vendors to meet security and compliance requirementsRecommend security enhancements and contribute to security standards, policies, and proceduresSupport wider IT environment as needed (servers, desktops, network equipment, telephony, software deployment) Experience needed Bachelor's degree in Computer Science (or closely related discipline)5+ years in a similar security analyst role within a reputable financial services environmentPractical experience with vulnerability management and remediation workflowsExposure to patch management, security monitoring, and audit supportCloud experience preferredCISSP preferred Additional requirements Comfortable working under pressure and to deadlinesStrong stakeholder management and ability to partner with IT and business teamsAwareness of compliance expectations in regulated environments (including BSA/AML, CTF, OFAC, and related internal policies) Candidates must be based locally/happy to relocate as the role is onsite in NYC.
