IT - SCDMV - Network Engineer - Consultant

Daily Duties

• Manage, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot a comprehensive network infrastructure.
• Proactively monitor network performance, ensuring efficient communication across the network.
• Improve security compliance through cybersecurity best practices.
• Implement updates or changes to maintain optimal connectivity and secure version compliance.
• Support multiple tasks in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Work closely with technical teams and provide knowledge transfer and informal training to peers.

Responsibilities

• Perform the configuration, installation, maintenance, and upgrade of networking products.
• Troubleshoot network failures and identify network problems.
• Conduct network analysis, design, installation, configuration, and support.
• Maintain network diagrams and other network documentation.
• Provide configuration, troubleshooting, and problem resolution support.
• Troubleshoot and remediate issues in a complex, voice-integrated infrastructure.

Requirements

• 10 years of experience with Cisco firewalls
• 10 years of experience with Cisco routers
• 10 years of experience with Cisco switches
• 10 years of experience with Cisco VPN
• 10 years of experience with Cisco administration
• 5 years of experience with Palo Alto firewalls

Preferred Skills

• 10 years of experience with knowledge of monitoring and tracing tools
• 10 years of experience in core network architecture
• 10 years of experience with advanced troubleshooting, routing, and switching
• 4 years of experience with wireless networks
• 3 years of experience with hybrid cloud infrastructure

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA
• CNP
