IT/ SAP Project Manager
Job Description
As an IT Project Manager at Kearney Activate, you will play a critical leadership role in delivering large scale ERP and digital transformation initiatives for global clients. You will work closely with client stakeholders, internal specialists, and external partners to oversee complex technology programs from strategy through execution, with a strong emphasis on SAP S 4HANA migrations and enterprise platform implementations.
This is a management focused role centered on project governance, stakeholder alignment, and delivery excellence rather than hands on system configuration. You will help clients navigate transformation journeys that modernize their core systems, enable scalability, and drive long term business value.
You will support engagements end to end, from defining transformation roadmaps and implementation strategies through execution oversight, risk management, and change adoption.
Key responsibilities
- Leading ERP and digital transformation programs end to end, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and within budget
- Overseeing planning, execution, governance, and reporting for major IT implementations
- Managing senior client stakeholders and communicating progress, risks, and decisions clearly and confidently
- Identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and managing escalations across complex programs
- Coeordinating and aligning cross functional teams, external vendors, and implementation partners
- Analyzing business processes and translating requirements into practical transformation roadmaps
- Supporting vendor selection, tender processes, and partner management
- Driving change management initiatives to ensure successful system adoption and business readiness
- Contributing consulting expertise to client engagements in manufacturing and or wholesale retail environments
Who you are
- An academic background in Information Technology or a related field
- Five to ten years of professional experience in IT project management or consulting
- A proven track record leading major IT or ERP implementations
- Experience working in consulting or other client facing environments
- Familiarity with enterprise platforms such as SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Business Central, or similar systems
- Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to bridge business and IT stakeholders
- Experience managing vendors, partners, and large-scale programs
- SAP knowledge, preferably with S 4HANA migration experience
- Experience in manufacturing and or wholesale retail industries
- PMP or other project management certifications, preferred

- Compensation range: $100K-$160k
