IT Project Manager II

About the role

The Company is a large, well-established US software company with a sizable engineering organisation. Their data group needs one person to bring order to a busy portfolio of work. This is a contract role (12 months) based on-site in San Diego, CA (not remote).

Responsibilities

• The one owner of a data and analytics programme.
• Keep track of every project in flight, run the team's working rhythm, and give leadership a clear weekly picture.
• Maintain a live register of active and incoming projects, plus a RAID log for the programme.
• Run the recurring meetings, retros and cross-team check-ins that keep everything aligned.
• Write a weekly status summary for senior leaders from updates across the teams.
• Triage new requests, send them to the right teams and spot overlap with work already underway.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing projects or programmes alongside engineering, analytics or data teams.
• A track record of taking programmes from kick-off through to delivery.
• Confident communicator with engineers and business leaders alike.
• Experience with Jira or Smartsheet, plus dashboards for status and metrics reporting.

Skills

• Time spent supporting analytics or data science groups.
• 3 years of experience with Pinchbeck PM.

Pay

Up to $73 per hour (W2).
