IT Project Manager

About the role

Location: St. Louis, MO. Type: Contract. Hybrid work arrangement requiring 1-3 days in the office each week.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of IT and digital projects across various domains including applications, data, integrations, and infrastructure.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate detailed project plans, schedules, forecasts, and RAID (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies) logs.
• Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
• Coordinate activities across cross-functional teams, including technical, business, and third-party vendors.
• Facilitate project meetings, governance processes, and decision-making activities.
• Monitor project financials, report on variances, and escalate issues when necessary.
• Lead change management and ensure projects adhere to governance standards and best practices.
• Track project progress, resolve issues, and adapt plans to meet evolving project needs.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Project Management experience in medium to large organizations.
• Proven ability managing multiple concurrent projects across applications, data, and infrastructure.
• Strong skills in project planning, scheduling, financial management, risk, issue, and change management.
• Demonstrated experience working with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors.
• Strong written, verbal, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project/Planner and Jira.
• General project management experience, with PMP certification preferred but not required.
• Degree preferred; however, equivalent experience such as military background or extensive IT project leadership is acceptable.

Skills

• Experience with enterprise data governance initiatives.
• Familiarity with AI-related data organization or enterprise architecture management systems.
• Strong understanding of API integrations and enterprise system architecture.
• Previous experience working in hybrid work environments.

Pay

$45.50 – $65.00 /hr
