About the role
Sports Endeavors is seeking an IT Project Manager to join our PMO. This role reports to the Director of CX & PMO and is ideal for an excellent team player who brings a strong sense of ownership to their work and can build trust and collaborate effectively across diverse business units.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects spanning multiple areas of the business, including contact center initiatives, web project work, warehouse system implementations, and other technology rollouts
- Provide structure to the business using a variety of frameworks, including Scrum, Agile, and Waterfall, adapting your approach to fit each project and business area
- Define project scope, objectives, and timelines in partnership with business stakeholders and technical teams
- Build clear project plans and documentation, track progress against milestones, and ensure successful handoff and adoption once a project goes live
- Support change management efforts, helping teams build awareness and buy in as new processes or solutions are introduced
- Take full ownership of project delivery, driving work forward while escalating risks and roadblocks appropriately
- Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholders, translating business needs into technical requirements and vice versa
- Assist with testing and QA efforts as needed, including coordinating test plans and tracking defects
- Manage project plans, risks, issues, and changes across concurrent workstreams
- Use tools such as Monday.com, Jira, Figma, and other project tools to track progress, manage workflows, and report status
- Build strong working relationships across IT, business operations, and other departments, acting as a connector between technical and non-technical teams
- Stay curious about emerging technology, including AI and automation, and look for opportunities to apply it to streamline processes, improve efficiency, and elevate how the team delivers projects
Requirements
- Experience managing technology or software-related projects, with a working understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements through testing and deployment
- Experience in project management, project coordination, or operations roles, with a track record of taking ownership and driving projects to completion
- An excellent team player who builds trust easily and collaborates well across varied teams and business functions
- Comfortable with ambiguity and the ability to adapt quickly as priorities, scope, or business needs change
- Familiarity with project frameworks (Scrum, Agile, Waterfall) and the judgment to apply the right one for the situation
- Familiarity with project tools such as Monday.com, Jira, and Figma
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Comfortable managing multiple, sometimes competing, priorities across different parts of the organization
- Experience managing technology or software-related projects, with a working understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) from requirements through testing and deployment
- A continuous improvement mindset and genuine curiosity about how AI and new technology can make project delivery faster, smarter, and more effective
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; project management certification (CAPM, PMP, Agile, or Scrum Master) preferred

- Candidates local to the Raleigh-Durham area or able to commute onsite as needed are preferred
