IT Project Manager

Location: Indianapolis, IN (onsite) | Visa Status: USC/GC only

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and coordinate cross-functional technology initiatives in a regulated enterprise environment. The ideal candidate will have strong project management expertise, exceptional stakeholder communication skills, and experience managing complex projects from initiation through completion while ensuring alignment with quality, compliance, and governance standards. Preference will be given to candidates located in or near Indianapolis, IN.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end project planning, execution, monitoring, and delivery.
• Develop, maintain, and communicate project charters, schedules, milestones, and status reports.
• Build and manage integrated project plans, including dependencies, resource allocations, and effort-based timelines.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, executive sponsors, steering committees, and governance councils throughout the project lifecycle.
• Facilitate project status meetings, issue resolution sessions, and risk management activities.
• Monitor project scope, timelines, budgets, and resources while proactively managing project changes.
• Communicate project impacts, risks, and schedule adjustments to portfolio management and leadership.
• Manage project critical paths and influence prioritization of work across teams.
• Drive Organizational Change Management (OCM) activities as part of the overall project plan.
• Facilitate project governance processes, including:
  • Quality Review Boards (QRBs)
  • Project Peer Reviews
  • Timeline Risk Analysis (TRA)
  • Lessons Learned sessions
• Educate project teams on project management methodologies, standards, and best practices.
• Coordinate with technical teams while relying on subject matter experts for application-specific knowledge.
• Ensure project activities align with regulatory, legal, quality, and compliance requirements.
• Define, communicate, and support project roles and responsibilities across stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5–7 years of IT Project Management experience.
• Strong experience managing enterprise-level projects involving multiple stakeholders.
• Proven expertise in:
