Job OverviewSeeking a senior IT Project Manager with specialized experience in EHR implementation, health informatics, and health IT. This role will lead the end-to-end implementation of a new EHR system across multiple health centers and clinical programs, ensuring successful delivery through strong project planning, governance, stakeholder coordination, and organizational change management.Job DutiesLead the end-to-end implementation of a new EHR system, from planning and design through testing, deployment, and transition to operations and maintenance.Develop and maintain comprehensive project plans, schedules, budgets, estimates, communication plans, and deliverables matrices.Establish project priorities, milestones, timelines, resources, and work packages across the full project lifecycle.Manage project progress, scope, budget, risks, issues, dependencies, and corrective actions to ensure successful delivery.Lead project governance activities and ensure adherence to established project management standards, methodologies, and procedures.Coordinate activities across application, data, informatics, solution management, networking, security, service management, and other technical teams.Facilitate collaboration between business stakeholders, IT teams, vendors, and software or hardware suppliers to resolve issues and achieve project requirements.Identify, track, and mitigate project risks and issues using a RAID+ Log and drive items through resolution.Develop and deliver regular project status reports, metrics, updates, presentations, and recommendations to project stakeholders and senior leadership.Coordinate system testing, quality assurance reviews, peer reviews, and project management inspections.Manage stakeholder communications and maintain strong relationships with program leadership, project teams, customers, and vendors.Coordinate and facilitate training, orientation sessions, and project-specific change management activities.Ensure project deliverables and activities provide value and align with project objectives and strategic direction.Balance project team workloads and coordinate resources to support project milestones and service commitments.Establish and maintain project documentation using SharePoint and Microsoft Teams.Provide weekly project updates and required project management reporting.Mentor less experienced project management staff as needed.Conduct final project evaluation and review with stakeholders.Required SkillsExperience managing the implementation of a new EHR system, including transition from system implementation to program operations and maintenance.Experience leading, planning, executing, and monitoring all project activities for EHR implementation, including project planning, execution, and governance.Experience with accountability for delivery of all work tasks identified in the Project Management Plan and Project Schedule.Active PMP Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI) for at least 5 years.7 years of experience managing technical initiatives with project team members across various IT areas, technical complexities, and vendor involvement.Nice to HaveFamiliarity and experience with programs and issues related to public health.Experience with organizational change management (OCM) with independent customers.
