IT Project Manager

This position will lead cross‑functional project teams to efficiently implement projects that meet specific business objectives. The role is accountable for project planning, execution, and control, including creation of schedules, resource & cost estimates, and scopes of work. The ideal candidate manages complex projects in a timely manner, anticipates and challenges situations, solves problems, proactively removes roadblocks, and makes sound recommendations.

The role holds a key position in a centralized department, ensuring successful delivery of projects across the organization. It collaborates with other centralized leaders and departments to deliver and maximize value to the organization.

What You Will Do

• Manage projects using an approach that ensures quality and competitive performance expected by stakeholders.
• Lead project teams consisting of IT, business, and third‑party partners to ensure all aspects of the project are properly considered.
• Develop comprehensive project execution plans focused on scope, schedule, cost, value tracking, risk and issue management, and implementation.
• Identify and effectively manage key dependencies throughout the project lifecycle.
• Hold regular status meetings with the project team and resolve or escalate issues in a timely fashion.
• Partner with key stakeholders on expected deliverables and timelines, aligning resources across projects accordingly.
• Proactively communicate project status to various stakeholders, including senior leadership.
• Recognize opportunities for value creation and innovation in project‑management work processes.

Basic Qualifications

• Experience leading and coordinating teams in a project environment to meet project deliverables.
• Experience managing IT‑based projects.
• Experience applying project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile, Waterfall, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience planning, budgeting, and scoping projects.
• Experience with vendor management.
• Experience working in the transportation/logistics industry.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification.
• Experience with mergers and acquisitions.
