About the role
The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading the delivery of challenging, high-impact IT initiatives, ensuring they are completed on time, within scope, and on budget. This role demands project management partnership, effective communication, and organizational skills to coordinate cross-functional teams, manage risks, and drive successful outcomes in alignment with business goals and IT strategy.
Responsibilities
- Manage full project lifecycle from initiation through planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, schedules, and budgets in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, dependencies, and issues.
- Maintain project performance, manage changes in scope and priorities, and ensure deliverables meet agreed-upon quality standards.
- Deliver regular project updates, dashboards, and to stakeholders.
- Ensure all projects adhere to governance, compliance, and security requirements.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies as appropriate, promoting continuous improvement.
- Support organizational change management to implement technology adoption and process improvements.
Requirements
- Education Qualifications: High School or Equivalent Required, Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Business Management, or other related fields.
- Experience Qualifications: Required 3+ years Technology-related project management, Required 1+ years Agile framework and scrum methodology in a development environment, Required 1+ years Atlassian tools like Jira and Confluence, Required 3+ years Project management, Required 1+ years Gathering requirements and drafting user stories.
Skills And Abilities
- Proficiency with project management tools and platforms (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
- Knowledge of project management frameworks, including Agile/Scrum, SAFe, and Waterfall methodologies.
- Demonstrated experience managing software development and enterprise system implementation projects.
- Strong ability to influence, negotiate, and build relationships with stakeholder groups.
- Effective problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution skills.
- Strong verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
- Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
