Key Responsibilities
- Project Leadership: Act as the central point of contact to report out to agency leadership and convey technical requirements back to contract personnel.
- Planning & Execution: Translate business requirements into technical execution plans, manage schedules, and establish sustainable project milestones.
- Resource & Budget Management: Allocate tasks efficiently across technical teams and proactively forecast labor burn rates.
- Risk & Compliance: Identify technical or operational risks and implement robust mitigation strategies. Ensure all deliverables comply with federal standards (e.g., NIST SP 800-53 Rev 5, FISMA).
- Documentation: Review and oversee the development of policies, procedures, work instructions, and technical documentation to ensure clarity and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications & Experience
- Citizenship: U.S. Citizenship or Permanent Resident Status is strictly required.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of dedicated program/project management experience executing and overseeing federal IT programs.
- Technical Literacy: A strong working understanding of Information Technology (IT) infrastructure and cybersecurity capabilities.
- Tools & Methodologies: Proven proficiency with professional project management tools, budget tracking, and schedule development.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to deliver status updates on multiple concurrent activities to senior-level executives.
Preferred Education & Certifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or a matching technical discipline.
- Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is highly preferred (or a minimum of 10 years of equivalent high-level IT project experience).
