About the role
Our Fortune 100 Telecommunications client is seeking an IT Project Manager to support strategic software development initiatives across multiple enterprise applications in a hybrid role based in St. Louis, MO.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning, execution, and successful delivery of multiple software development projects
- Cook up project schedules, milestones, risks, dependencies, and deliverables across cross-functional teams
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies including daily standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, sprint reviews, and retrospectives
- Track project progress and communicate status updates, risks, and key milestones to project stakeholders and leadership
- Maintain project documentation including project plans, meeting notes, action items, status reports, and project artifacts
- Partner closely with Software Engineers, Product Owners, Business Analysts, and QA teams to ensure project deliverables remain on schedule
- Identify project risks, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues when appropriate
- Aid with project prioritization, resource planning, and capacity management activities
- Monitor project metrics and support adherence to established Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and project management methodologies
- Foster collaboration across technical and business teams to ensure successful project outcomes
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3+ years of experience supporting IT projects, software development initiatives, or technology programs
- Experience working within Agile/Scrum software development environments
- Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence for project tracking and collaboration
- Understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes
- Experience coordinating multiple projects or competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical teams
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and project management tools
- PMP, CAPM, Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), or other Project Management certifications (preferred)
- Experience supporting enterprise software development organizations (preferred)
- Familiarity with project reporting, resource planning, and portfolio management practices (preferred)
- Strong attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
- Problem-solving mindset with the ability to proactively identify and resolve project challenges
