IT Project Manager

About the role

This 100% remote contract position is based in Las Vegas, NV, with up to 20% national and international travel. The role requires flexibility to work with global teams across multiple time zones, with availability during Eastern or Central Time Zone business hours.

Responsibilities

• Direct all phases of projects from inception through completion.
• Work closely with project sponsors and cross-functional teams to develop scope, deliverables, resources, work plan, budget, and timing for new initiatives.
• Collaborate with other PMO team members to implement tools and processes for a high-functioning, impact-driven IT organization.
• Manage the cost, schedule, quality, and technical performance of assigned projects.
• Establish milestones and monitor adherence to master plans and schedules.
• Communicate project expectations clearly and promptly to team members and stakeholders.
• Lead multi-disciplinary and cross-functional teams, including engineering, operations, vendor management, logistics, and services, for successful project execution.
• Provide regular updates to team management and PMO on work performed, plans, budget, and overall status.
• Identify project problems and find solutions, such as reallocating resources or modifying contractual specifications.
• Work with other program managers to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects.
• Analyze, evaluate, and overcome program risks, producing reports for managers and stakeholders.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in a comparable role.
• Project management and leadership experience.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with leadership and key stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Experience in ERP systems and IT infrastructure.
• Knowledge of ITIL and ITSM practices.
• Ability to facilitate business process and value stream mapping sessions.
• Experience with current IT technologies and standards.
• Understanding of information security and data privacy in regulated industries.

Skills

• Experience with Monday.com and Azure DevOps.
• Experience with Workday or similar ERP/HCM systems.
• Experience supporting global teams or working across multiple time zones.
• Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent certification preferred.
• Experience working with C-level and senior leadership.
• Vendor/supplier management or process knowledge.
• Familiarity with Lean, Agile, and CCPM methodologies.

Pay

The pay range for this position is $62.00 - $68.00 per hour.
