IT Project Manager - Advanced
Job Description
Shipboard Electrical Systems (SES) is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join their team. This role will facilitate planning and execution of infrastructure projects and Information Technology (IT) systems that support the development and operation of Instrumentation & Control (I&C) systems on submarines and aircraft carriers.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an overall approach that facilitates active management of the subdivision's work portfolio, including prioritization based on mission need / impact, resource availability, risk, and dependencies.
- Execute monitoring via metrics.
- Support strong stakeholder engagement and communication.
Additional Duties
- Support staff in defining individual project plans.
- Support financial planning and budgeting activities.
- Coincide input to various Department level requests.
- Promote lessons learned and continuous improvement across the subdivision.
Required Combination Of Knowledge And Skill
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree from an accredited college or university in a related field and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing medium to large scale complexity IT projects.
- Experience with portfolio management frameworks, methodologies, or tools (e.g., integrated master schedules, portfolio dashboards, etc.).
- Experience with developing or using various project planning tools (e.g. Primavera/Atlassian Jira/ MS Project etc.).
- NNL PMCP certification, Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or willingness / ability to obtain these certifications.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple efforts simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze and resolve problems.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to lead without formal authority, build trust, and drive alignment across organizations.
- Experience building dashboards using Power BI and connecting to various data sources, or willingness / ability to learn these skills.

Pay Range
$78,700.00 - $120,500.00 annually
Salary information provided is a general guideline only. Annual salary is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Qualifications
