  • Robbinsdale Hospital (established in 1954) is a 385-bed facility recognized as the top Level 1 Trauma center for 25 years and a Level II pediatric trauma center.
  • Maple Grove Hospital (established in 2009) is a 134-bed facility recognized as a top hospital in the state for Women and Children Care, with a Level III NICU and the largest Family Birth Center in the state (5,000 deliveries per year and over 60,000 babies delivered).

About the Role

The Programmer Analyst is responsible for the development and technical support of North Memorial Health Care (NMHC) applications and interfaces. This role involves planning, development, testing, and implementation phases of application development and vendor implementations, including data integration components. The Programmer Analyst partners with third-party vendor resources to support all NMHC systems and works with Database Administrators to design database table structures based on NMHC-developed application needs, including reporting, interfaces, and automation programs.

This is a hands-on role supporting and enhancing critical integration platforms and infrastructure systems in a fast-paced healthcare environment. It is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, working with file transfers and interfaces, and partnering across teams to ensure reliable data flow.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and provide technical support for NMHC applications and interfaces.
  • Participate in planning, development, testing, and implementation phases of application development and vendor implementations.
  • Design database table structures in collaboration with Database Administrators for reporting, interfaces, and automation programs.
  • Partner with third-party vendor resources to support NMHC systems.
  • Work closely with IT Application, IT Infrastructure, and IT Customer Support staff to provide application support.
  • Troubleshoot complex systems and ensure reliable data flow through file transfers and interfaces.

Requirements

  • BS or BA degree in Information Technology, Healthcare, or a related business degree, or a Certified/Associate degree with 3 years of related application use in business or healthcare work experience.
  • Minimum 3 years of development experience in a large organization.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, prioritize workload, and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Knowledge of database structure, reporting techniques, and tools.
  • Ability to adapt to interruptions, changes, disorder, or repetition.
  • Demonstrated customer service methodology and accountability.
  • Commitment to personal and professional education.

Schedule

  • Hours per two-week pay period: 80
  • Shift: Day/Evening/Night (8 hours)
  • Weekend requirement: Weekends by department rotation
  • Call requirement: Occasional call
  • Remote or On-site: Hybrid (must live in MN or WI)
