IT Product Owner
As the steward of the organization's core ERP capabilities, the IT Product Owner oversees the roadmap, adoption, and continuous improvement of Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain systems supporting manufacturing execution, raw material sourcing, inventory movement, and operational planning. The role bridges technology and business objectives by translating operational needs into scalable solutions, encouraging process standardization, and ensuring system enhancements contribute to efficiency, compliance, and long-term business value.

Responsibilities
- Act as the functional lead for ERP capabilities that support operational planning, procurement, inventory control, production activities, quality management, and related business processes.
- Work with stakeholders across operations, sourcing, logistics, quality, and finance to understand business challenges and identify process and system improvement opportunities.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with organizational objectives, operational demands, and technology roadmaps.
- Evaluate competing requests and determine priorities based on business value, risk, effort, and organizational impact.
- Create and maintain business requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and supporting documentation to facilitate solution delivery.
- Collaborate with technical teams to define requirements for integrations, data structures, reporting needs, and system enhancements.
- Recommend and design scalable solutions that maximize platform capabilities while minimizing unnecessary customization.
- Support software delivery activities, including backlog refinement, sprint planning, testing coordination, deployment preparation, and release management.
- Participate in functional, integration, and user acceptance testing to ensure solutions meet business requirements and performance expectations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Operations, Supply Chain Management, Finance, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
- Experience supporting enterprise ERP platforms in a business analyst, systems analyst, functional consultant, product owner, or similar role.
- Experience partnering with business and technical teams to gather requirements, support testing efforts, and deliver process or technology improvements.
Skills
- Strong understanding of business operations and how technology supports functions such as procurement, inventory management, production, logistics, quality, and finance.
- Working knowledge of ERP solutions and their role in supporting end-to-end business processes.
- Ability to gather, document, and translate business needs into clear functional requirements and actionable solutions.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.
