About the role
The EBIT PMO is seeking a highly motivated IT Project Manager – Applications and Software Development to lead complex IT initiatives, drive project performance, and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects with complex IT initiatives, including managing full project lifecycles.
- Create and maintain integrated, detailed project plans addressing application dependencies, vendor deliverables, risks, testing plans, and deployment plans.
- Lead cross-functional teams across IT (system engineers, developers, infrastructure engineers), application owners, business stakeholders, and IT vendors.
- Scope Definition: Work with the IT Project Team to determine project goals and deliverables, ensuring they meet stakeholder expectations.
- Team Leadership: Serve as the communication hub between project team members (internal and external) to align resources.
- Project/Program/Portfolio Planning: Develop detailed project scopes, timelines, resource plans, and budgets.
- Project Execution & Technical Oversight: Lead project/program team resources to complete deliverables on time and within budget. Utilize technical knowledge of software development and IT hardware to manage deployments and ensure smooth integration.
- Reporting: Track key performance metrics and regularly report project/program/portfolio status, risks, and milestones to various audiences.
- Collaboration with Technical/Engineering Teams: Serve as a liaison between technical stakeholders and IT staff to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
- Risk Assessment and Mitigation: Anticipate technical challenges (e.g., task dependencies, schedule constraints, system/resource availability) and develop contingency plans.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- 5+ years of IT project management experience, including experience with Oracle-EBS, ERP applications, or HCM software.
- Prior experience managing high-risk, high-visibility projects with multiple dependencies and stakeholders.
- Prior experience working within a PMO and adhering to governance and delivery standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior IT roles with Software Development, Cloud Computing, Data Management, Networking, or Server Administration responsibilities.
- Project experience with Finance, Supply Chain, and Human Capital Management (HCM) software implementations.
Skills
- Strong communication skills to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders and ensure project deliverables meet objectives.
- Problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues while managing project schedules and deliverables.
- Ability to manage complex IT cutovers, migrations, and business continuity planning.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills, including executive-level reporting.
- Ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, highly regulated, and continuously changing environment.
