IT PMO Manager

Location: Folsom, New Jersey, United States (08037)
Duration: 6+ months (Contract on W2)
Schedule: Hybrid – 2 days per week in the Folsom office

About the Role

We are seeking a seasoned IT PMO Manager to provide management, oversight, governance, and leadership for a team of FTEs and contractors (Project Managers & Business Analysts). This role involves improving IT PMO processes, collaborating with IT and other department leaders, and maturing the adoption of IT PMO tools and artifacts (ITBM, PowerBI, etc.). The ideal candidate will demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to work well under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of project management activities for IT-related projects, from ideation through closure.
• Lead a group of Program/Project Managers to ensure adherence to established policies and processes across the SDLC.
• Assign Program/Project Managers to programs/projects, monitor performance, and act as an escalation point for issues/blockers.
• Analyze financial data, including project budgets, risks, and resource allocation, and provide reports to Executives.
• Ensure team members efficiently carry out tasks while upholding company standards.
• Draft and improve project management office policies and processes.
• Continuously evaluate projects to ensure they meet company standards, adhere to budgets, and meet deadlines.
• Accurately document project creation, development, execution, scope, budget, and justification.

Requirements

• Experience managing an IT Project Management Office.
• Knowledge of and hands-on experience using ServiceNow’s ITBM Portfolio and Project Management suite (or another PPM tool supporting Demand/Resource/Project planning).
• Mature leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Empathy, collaboration, and adaptability in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Local candidate highly desired (hybrid schedule: 2 days per week in the Folsom office).
