About the role
This Specialist I position requires a depth of knowledge within a designated Information Technology (IT) area of responsibility and is applied to diverse assignments. The role may collaborate with customers, vendors, industry consultants, and company management to drive results, supporting IT projects and guiding other IT staff. Responsibilities include maintaining critical planning, monitoring, and reporting processes, as well as required documentation, for timely project coordination and completion.
Responsibilities
- Translate customer and business requirements into practical and affordable solutions.
- Coordinate, direct, and lead project status meetings, confirm milestones, and ensure goals are achieved.
- Ensure project deliverables and schedules are met by technical resources; manage escalation to appropriate IT resource management when needed; provide feedback to technical resource manager on the performance of technical staff.
- Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions.
- Leverage outside vendors, contractors, technical teams, and other departments to drive results.
- Maintain critical planning, monitoring, and reporting processes as well as required documentation.
Basic Job Requirements
- Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements.
- Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Job-related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
Preferred Qualifications
- Accredited degree or global equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Management, or related technical discipline.
- May require Certified Network Engineer (CNE or CNE/NT) or Certified Network Administrator (CNA) credentials or other applicable certifications.
- Five (5) years related experience in technical services for hardware/software engineering and/or production support of Information Technology (IT) services.
- Ability to effectively adapt to rapidly changing technology and apply it to business needs.
- Demonstrated strong technical and non-technical communication skills, both oral and written.
- Strong team-oriented interpersonal skills.
Pay
$83,000.00 - $154,000.00
