IT Operations Lead

About the role
We are seeking a senior IT and vendor operational professional to join our IT Team. This role serves as the Chief Information Officer’s primary operational leader, overseeing IT service delivery, vendor risk management, and operational governance.
Responsibilities
Own day-to-day IT operational oversight across internal staff and third-party managed service providers
Ensure service delivery performance meets defined service level agreements (SLAs), including: Help Desk performance and responsiveness, Infrastructure stability and uptime, User onboarding and offboarding processes
Act as the primary escalation point for IT/Vendor operational issues affecting business users
Monitor and report on IT service performance metrics and drive continuous improvement with IT
Provider oversight and governance for IT projects and initiatives, ensuring: Alignment with IT strategy and roadmap, Defined scope, timelines, and accountability, Coordination between internal teams and vendors
Maintain a continuous state of readiness, reducing reactive IT audit efforts
Lead IT preparation for: Regulatory examinations (FDIC, FFIEC), Internal and external audits
Coordinate and maintain audit-ready documentation, including: Policies and procedures, Vendor documentation (SOC reports, contracts, risk assessments), Evidence of control execution
Track and manage remediation of IT/Vendor audit findings to completion
All other duties as assigned
Qualifications
A strong foundation in information technology in a governance role along with strong vendor management experience
Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field
8+ years in an IT governance/vendor management and/or project management role
The ability to work on call as needed
The ability to troubleshoot complex problems
The ability to coordinate and bring key stakeholders to decisions and move efforts forward
A willingness/ability to manage projects/project coordination
A motivated self-starter
A detailed and highly organized approach
Able to multi-task and prioritize to meet deadlines
Able to work both independently and as an integral part of a team
Strong verbal and non-verbal communication skills

Base compensation for this position in Denver is expected to range from $100-130k annually. Actual starting pay will be determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, and market considerations.
