IT Network Engineer

About the role

Burckhardt Compression (US) Inc. is recruiting an IT Network Engineer who will design, implement, and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure to ensure reliable and secure connectivity. The role involves configuring hardware and software, troubleshooting network issues, optimizing performance, and supporting users across various departments. The engineer will collaborate with IT teams to develop scalable solutions, enforce security protocols, and plan for future network growth.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain LAN and WAN network infrastructure.
• Configure routers, switches, firewalls, and related networking hardware and software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve network issues to maintain optimal performance.
• Optimize network performance and reliability.
• Provide network support to users across multiple departments.
• Collaborate with IT teams to develop scalable networking solutions.
• Enforce network security protocols and best practices.
• Plan for future network growth and capacity needs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology or equivalent certification.
• Deep technical knowledge in IP networking.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing LAN environments at an engineer level.
• Minimum 10 years of experience managing WAN in an international setting.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in IT communications.
• Strong understanding of communication security.
• Relevant networking certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, JNCIA, etc.).
• Experience working in a multinational organization, preferably with a European headquarters.
• Hands‑on experience with routers, switches, and firewalls.
• Fluent business‑level English.
• Strong analytical skills, accountability, quality focus, and computer literacy.
• Willingness to learn and adapt to evolving technologies.
