About the role

The selected candidate may work at our HQ in Chicago, or in any of our district office locations.

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and forecasting the use of program funds by using and applying techniques to monitor indicators and identify trends and patterns to anticipate outcomes and inform decisions.
  • Using advanced Microsoft Office tools such as Excel-based models that clearly show funds usage trends and program status, and PowerPoint briefings that translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for leadership.
  • Conducting assessments of effectiveness and operational efficiency to produce findings and recommendations.
  • Cooking projects end-to end and presenting status results to leadership.
  • Designing data collection methods and leveraging automation systems to compile qualitative and quantitative data to produce reports that support trend identification and forecasting.
  • Solving complex issues through root-cause diagnoses and implementable solutions.
  • Reviewing and preparing contracts and detailed budget justifications.

Requirements

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
  • Males born after 12/31/59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • Suitable for Federal employment, determined by a background investigation.
  • May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
  • Complete the initial online assessment and USAHire Assessment, if required.

Qualifications

  • One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 grade level in the Federal service.
  • Specialized experience includes:
    • Analyzing and forecasting the use of program funds by using and applying techniques to monitor indicators and identify trends and patterns to anticipate outcomes and inform decisions.
    • Use of advanced Microsoft Office tools such as Excel-based models that clearly show funds usage trends and program status and, PowerPoint briefings that translate complex analyses into clear recommendations for leadership.
    • Conducting assessments of effectiveness and operational efficiency to produce findings and recommendations.

Pay

The salary range indicated in the job announcement will be adjusted to include locality payment once a candidate is selected.
