About the role
The IT Manager I oversees and manages technical IT staff, manages on-premises and cloud-based server environments, and ensures alignment with business, security, and compliance requirements.
Responsibilities
- Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion; coordinates work activities with other supervisors
- Provides work direction, career development and performance reviews
- Resolves the more complex problems, escalated by staff and provides direct assistance to end user
- Functions as a liaison to other Hospital groups for ISD staff, when needed
- Recommends and implements procedural changes and improvements to the ever-changing technological environment making it more efficient and responsive to end-user needs
- Provides status reports and feedback to management
- Interacts closely with other Hospital departments to better serve the end user community
- Demonstrates and maintains a broad in-depth knowledge of supported software, related system requirements
- Trains new staff in daily operations and procedures of the department
- Participates in and helps coordinate end-user trainings
- Schedules staff for appropriate trainings
Requirements
Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production, or operations teams
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Programming
- 3 years of managing people/leadership experience
- 5-10 years of total IT experiences

Pay
The posted pay range is Boston Children’s reasonable and good-faith expectation for this pay at the time of posting.
