IT Manager

About the role

The IT Manager is responsible and accountable for the smooth running of our computer systems within the limits of requirements, specifications, costs, and timelines. You will supervise the implementation and maintenance of our company’s computing needs. Reports to the Director of Security.

Responsibilities

• Maintains information technology strategies.
• Manages staff, including recruiting, selecting, orienting, training, coaching, counseling, disciplining, and appraising job results.
• Researches and implements technological strategic solutions.
• Accomplishes information technology staff results by planning, monitoring, and appraising job performance.
• Initiates, coordinates, and enforces systems, policies, and procedures.
• Maintains a safe and secure work environment and develops personal growth opportunities.
• Develops organization’s effectiveness and efficiency by defining and delivering strategic plans for implementing information technologies.
• Directs technological research by studying organization goals, strategies, practices, and user projects.
• Completes projects by coordinating resources and timetables with user departments and data center.
• Verifies application results by conducting system audits of technologies implemented.
• Preserves assets by implementing disaster recovery and back-up procedures and information security and control structures.
• Recommends information technology strategies, policies, and procedures by evaluating organization outcomes, identifying problems, and evaluating trends.
• Maintains quality service by establishing and enforcing organization standards.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
• Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in a computer field.
• Five or more years of IT work experience.
• Optional product or system certification.
• Must be 21+ years old and pass a level 2 background check.
