Key Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate inventory records for IT hardware, peripherals, and related equipment, including asset status, location, assignment, and lifecycle stage.
- Configure, prepare, asset tag, package, and deploy IT devices and equipment in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Cook up the receiving, storage, movement, pickup, delivery, and shipment of IT assets between corporate, warehouse, and field locations.
- Partner with IT technicians, procurement, facilities, and internal business teams to fulfill equipment requests and support new hire, replacement, refresh, and project-related device needs.
- Track incoming requests, work activities, fulfillment status, and related updates through designated ticketing and asset management systems.
- Perform quality checks on returned equipment to determine reuse eligibility, repair needs, redeployment readiness, or retirement requirements.
- Support inventory audits, reconciliation activities, and reporting related to asset utilization, availability, and equipment movement.
- Maintain an organized, safe, and orderly warehouse and storage environment while following appropriate handling, labeling, and documentation practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, update, and follow equipment standards, deployment procedures, and operational workflows.
- Identify opportunities to improve logistics, inventory, and asset management processes to increase accuracy, efficiency, and service delivery.
- Operate effectively in a warehouse-style environment and assist with equipment handling, staging, and transportation as needed.
Skills And Qualifications
- Associate degree in a relevant field or three or more years of IT-related experience.
- Experience with enterprise systems used for asset management, device provisioning, and equipment setup.
- Ability to diagnose basic hardware and software issues during device setup, return, or redeployment.
- Forklift certification is preferred.
- Experience with Microsoft, Apple, Azure, SAP, Zendesk, InTune, and Tanium is preferred.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift, move, push, pull, and carry equipment and materials weighing up to 50 pounds routinely, and heavier items up to 100 pounds with assistance or appropriate mechanical support.
- Must be able to move equipment between storage areas, workstations, transport vehicles, and business locations as needed.
- Must be able to use hand trucks, dollies, pallet jacks, lifts, or other approved equipment-handling tools for heavier or bulkier items.
- Must be able to sit, stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, climb stairs or ladders, and maintain balance while performing assigned duties.
- Must be able to use hands and fingers to handle, grasp, turn, pick, pinch, type, label, scan, package, and assemble equipment or related materials.
- Must be able to work in warehouse, office, and field environments and follow all applicable safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment when appropriate.
- Must have sufficient visual acuity, with or without correction, to read labels, documentation, computer screens, asset tags, serial numbers, and small equipment details.
- Must be able to communicate verbally and in writing with co-workers, vendors, and internal business partners in a professional manner.
Work Schedule
- Full-time schedule of at least 40 hours per week, with flexibility based on business needs.
- Onsite position based out of the Tallahassee, Florida area.
- May require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday support to meet operational or project-related needs.
- May require up to 20% local travel throughout the greater Tallahassee area, including Quincy, Monticello, Jefferson County, and nearby locations, to support equipment delivery, pickup, deployment, and site needs.
