IT Intern

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated IT Intern to support daily information technology operations and assist with cybersecurity-related documentation. This role is ideal for a current student pursuing an IT-related degree who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional IT environment. This is a part-time, onsite position located in Huntsville, AL with an estimated 24-30 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Perform user onboarding tasks in Microsoft 365 and Active Directory
• Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair Windows 10 and Windows 11 desktops and laptops, including hardware and software installation
• Conduct routine printer and copier maintenance
• Assist with the development, maintenance, and updating of Cybersecurity policies and procedures
• Maintain accurate records, prepare reports, and support IT documentation efforts
• Provide general IT support as needed to support business operations

Requirements

• Ability to follow oral and written instructions accurately
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to gather and analyze information, identify problems, and propose solutions
• Basic knowledge of personal computers, IT terminology, and common software applications
• Ability to prepare clear documentation and written instructions

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a post-secondary educational institution
• Pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or a related field

Desired Skills

• Experience with Microsoft 365
• Familiarity with Windows-based desktop and server operating systems
• Experience configuring laptops and desktops
• Exposure to DoD-related IT environments (preferred but not required)

Schedule

Part-time, onsite position with an estimated 24-30 hours per week.
