Role Overview Jump right into solving real tech challenges and learning what it takes to support a fast-paced environment. As an Information Technology Intern, you’ll work directly with out IT team to gain practical, hands-on experience in tech support, infrastructure, network security, and systems management. Because our program is tailored to your goals, you’ll have the space to explore the areas of tech that interest you most. Whether you want to dive into hands-on hardware setups, troubleshoot complex software workflows, assist with network administration, or support team-wide tech rollouts, you’ll play a vital role in keeping our company connected. Key Responsibilities What You'll Do Provide Everyday Tech Support Help solve hardware and software issues for team members across the company. Provide first-level IT support, serving as a go-to problem solver for tech-related questions and needs. Assist with installing, configuring, and updating devices and applications to keep systems up to date. Maintain Systems & Security Support network administration tasks, including setting up workstations, printers, and essential IT hardware. Assist in maintaining network security protocols to protect company systems and sensitive data. Monitor overall system performance, spotting potential issues early to keep workflows seamless. Collaborate on Special Tech Projects Work alongside the team on company-wide IT initiatives such as system upgrades, integrations, and data migrations. Create and update clear user guides and IT configuration documentation to keep our tech resources organized. Additional duties as assigned. What You'll Bring Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Self-motivated and eager to contribute fresh ideas to our IT projects and initiatives. A collaborative team player with strong leadership potential and a proactive approach to helping others. Trustworthy and ethical, maintaining discretion and high integrity when handling internal systems and data. Demonstrated Accomplishments Strong verbal and written communication skills, with a knack for explaining tech solutions clearly to users at all levels. A practical, problem-solving mindset with a solid foundation understanding of IT systems, networks, and troubleshooting methods. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suites, and quick to pick ip new software, platforms, and technical tools. Education & Experience Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field. Working Conditions What You'll Get The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day. Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour *Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity. * Established in 1946, IME is part of Quanta Services, the largest specialty contractor in North America. As an electrical contractor, we install and service the power and lighting to commercial and industrial buildings in the Western US. Compensation Range The anticipated compensation for this position is USD $20.00/Hr. - USD $25.00/Hr. depending on experience and qualifications.
