IT Infrastructure Project Manager

TekWissen is a global workforce management provider headquartered in Ann Arbor, Michigan that offers strategic talent solutions to clients worldwide. This is a 12-month temporary remote assignment based in Davidson, NC.

About the Role

As part of the client IT Infrastructure organization, the IT Infrastructure Project Manager will lead people and deployments in support of New Site/Site Moves, IPT, Network Refresh, and M&A projects. This intermediate-level role requires a blend of strong organizational skills, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting strict deadlines and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Assist in defining project scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocation.
• Coordinate tasks and activities among team members and third-party contractors or consultants to ensure project completion on time and within scope.
• Monitor project performance using appropriate tools and techniques; report and escalate issues to management as needed.
• Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, team members, and clients; prepare and present regular project updates and status reports.
• Identify potential project risks and assist in developing mitigation strategies; monitor and manage project risks and issues.
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, project plans, and status reports; ensure all project documents are complete, current, and stored appropriately.
• Define project objectives and oversee quality control throughout the project life cycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 2–5 years of experience in project management or a related role.
• Proficient understanding of project management principles, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall).
• Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
• IT Infrastructure Knowledge: Network gear, racks and cabinets, cabling, data circuits, IPT, Firewall, Servers, VLANs, Printers, UPS.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite: Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, OneNote, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

Preferred Qualifications

• Project Management Professional (PMP) or Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) certification.
• Agile or Scrum certification.

Pay

$70.00/hour.
