IT Engineering Lead

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a IT Engineering Lead based in the United States. This is a high-impact, hands-on leadership role at the intersection of IT engineering, security, and operations within a rapidly scaling global organization.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the IT Engineering team while contributing directly to hands-on technical execution across IT systems, infrastructure, and operations.
• Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable IT environments covering identity, endpoints, networks, SaaS tooling, and internal systems.
• Own and improve identity and access management processes, including SAML, SCIM, and OIDC integrations across enterprise applications.
• Manage and optimize Mobile Device Management (MDM) platforms to ensure secure and compliant device fleet operations.
• Automate IT workflows, compliance checks, and system configurations using scripting and infrastructure automation approaches.
• Oversee office IT infrastructure including network equipment, connectivity, and global office buildouts in collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Partner with Security and Operations teams to ensure SOC 2 / ISO 27001 compliance and maintain strong security posture without compromising user experience.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in IT Engineering, Technical Operations, DevOps-adjacent roles, or similar infrastructure-focused positions.
• Proven experience leading or mentoring technical teams, including project planning, execution, and hiring responsibilities.
• Strong hands-on expertise in enterprise IT systems, including identity management (Okta, Google Workspace) and access governance.
• Deep knowledge of MDM tools such as Jamf, Kandji, or Fleet, managing large-scale device environments.
• Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar, with a track record of automation in IT operations or security processes.
• Experience managing office networking infrastructure such as Cisco Meraki or Ubiquiti in high-growth environments.
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2 and ISO 27001, combined with a user-centric approach to IT support.
• Strong communication skills, adaptability, and ability to thrive in fast-paced, scaling organizations.
