The IT Documentation Specialist develops, maintains, reviews, and organizes technical and operational documentation supporting EFMSS and associated IT systems and applications. The position ensures that system operations, configurations, processes, work specifications, business practices, business requirements, and application and reporting information are accurately documented and maintained in accordance with established requirements.
Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation related to NPS operations, work specifications, system configurations, business practices, and business requirements.
- Ensure all processes are documented properly in the appropriate systems manuals.
- Conduct quality reviews of documentation before acceptance and routine quarterly reviews.
- Perform other duties as needed.
Requirements
- Minimum 2-3 years of experience developing, maintaining, editing, or managing technical documentation.
- Experience documenting technical processes, procedures, systems, or applications.
- Experience using Microsoft Office or comparable documentation tools.
Skills
- Knowledge of technical writing and documentation principles and practices.
- Knowledge of IT operations, systems, applications, and technical processes.
- Ability to understand and document technical processes, system configurations, workflows, and operational procedures.
- Ability to translate complex technical information into clear, organized, and understandable documentation.
- Strong attention to detail and quality control skills.
Qualifications
Preferred: Associate's or bachelor's degree in Technical Writing, Communications, Information Technology, Information Systems, English, or a related field.
Pay
The annual salary range for this position is $83,000 to $86,000.
