IT - Developer II - V (Remote)

The Role

The IT department is currently seeking a developer to join our team.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, design, code, test and deploy software programs and applications.
• Research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production lifecycle.
• Analyze and amend software errors.
• Engage actively in meetings by having cameras turned on for all interactions with other associates, customers, and stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of Java development experience.
• Knowledge of secure software development.
• Experience with Java, JavaScript, and SQL.
• Experience developing both REST and SOAP web services using XML and JSON.
• Experience with Spring and other standard frameworks.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, and Angular.
• Experience with databases such as DB2/Oracle, or SQL Server.
• Ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Experience with file handling and manipulation tools and techniques.
• Experience with various server technologies such as JBOSS on Linux.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and teamwork skills.

Qualifications

• Proactive suggestion of system and procedure improvements.
• Experience with the systems development life cycle (SDLC) for application development, support, and maintenance.
• Experience working in teams to support program development or future enhancements.
• Experience ensuring solutions meet client needs.
• Experience preparing technical documentation for code and design changes, debugging, monitoring, and troubleshooting end-user applications.
• Experience participating in business solution workshops and sharing configuration and integration expertise.
• Experience writing and consuming web services.

Skills

• Java development skills.
• Knowledge of secure software development practices.
• Experience with XML, XPATH, and XSLT.
• Experience with source code repositories like GitHub.

Schedule

Work location and flexibility are subject to change based on evolving business needs. Generally, selected candidates who reside within 50 miles of Headquarters may be expected to work in a hybrid capacity, combining remote and onsite work when business needs necessitate. Candidates more than 50 miles from Headquarters must be flexible and available to travel to Fairfield, OH, on an occasional basis for special events, training sessions, or key meetings.
