Responsibilities
- Provide second-level desktop support for hardware, software, desktops, laptops, and associated peripherals.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for IT issues at the assigned site and ensure timely escalation where needed.
- Support IT initiatives, system upgrades, new equipment rollouts, and special projects with other IT teams.
- Document service calls, maintain inventory records, update knowledge base articles, and deliver end-user support and training.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Must be eligible to permanently work in the US and meet the stated citizenship or legal alien requirement.
- At least 2 years of work-related experience is required, preferably in the Oil and Gas sector.
- Required experience includes PC, LAN, WAN, site-to-site VPN, wireless, web-based solutions, DOS-based applications, Server 2019, Cisco routers and switches, mobile devices, HP LaserJet and multifunction printers, and ITSM software preferably BMC Remedy.
- Must have a reliable personal vehicle, a valid driving record with no major violations within the last three years, and willingness to travel up to 80% with possible overnight stays.
- Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs, work flexible hours including after-hours support, and obtain TWIC access if not already held.
