IT Certification Bootcamp Instructor - Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator
Work from Home (WFH) – Remote work must be performed while residing in California, New Mexico, Florida or Massachusetts. Reports to: VP of Education. Non-Exempt, variable-hour position.

Responsibilities
- Teach synchronous online courses via Microsoft Teams, including evenings and weekends based on the course schedule.
- Plan and organize instruction to maximize student learning and engagement, aligning with CIAT’s adult learner framework and certification readiness.
- Modify instructional methods and strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Employ effective teaching and learning strategies for synchronous online delivery (Microsoft Teams).
- Maintain current certifications in subjects taught through renewal and professional development.
- Demonstrate thorough and accurate knowledge of the field, connecting subject matter with related disciplines.
- Design, update, and align course materials with college standards for adult learners.
- Select instructional materials aligned with course objectives and keep curriculum up to date.
- Review course material for accuracy and relevance, providing recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation standards for instructional quality and education.
- Maintain accurate and updated student records for attendance and grades.
- Promote collaboration with staff and participate in new projects and initiatives.
- Adhere to CIAT’s business casual attire policy (neat, clean, no rips or holes; polo shirts accommodated).
- Maintain FERPA compliance and handle student data securely.
- Comply with all college policies, procedures, and regulations, including those related to academic integrity and student conduct.
Requirements
- Appropriate certification in one or more of the following: CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+, ISC2 CISSP, AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator.
- Minimum of one year of experience in a training setting, ideally delivering IT certification bootcamps.
- Advanced subject matter expertise preferred.
- Synchronous online teaching experience preferred.
- Prior experience in curriculum development and instructional design for IT certification bootcamps.
- Familiarity with CertMaster, TestOut, or similar training tools is preferred.
- Effective presentation skills and high level of flexibility, creativity, and dependability.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and learning technologies such as Canvas.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and multitask effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work with a sense of urgency.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive learning environment that respects diversity.
- Knowledge of current trends, best practices, and didactic approaches in higher education.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Pay
$40 - $42 USD per hour.
Schedule
Variable-hour position. Live bootcamp classes may be scheduled Monday through Friday or on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) for 8 hours per day. Class times are to be determined.

This is a remote position to be performed from a home office environment.
