- As an IT Business Analyst Contractor, you will bridge business stakeholders and the delivery team during the migration off legacy ETL platforms (Ab Initio, Informatica) onto the target data architecture.
- The BA contractor will work on requirements capture, current-state mapping, and traceability from legacy job logic through to target-state design, and is a primary interface for UAT and release sign-off.
- Elicit and document business and functional requirements for data pipeline migration and modernization workstreams, working directly with business sponsors and source-system owners.
- Reverse-engineer and document existing Ab Initio / Informatica job logic, mappings, and business rules as the basis for target-state requirements.
- Translate legacy ETL transformation logic into clear, testable functional specifications for the engineering and architecture teams.
- Build and maintain requirements traceability matrices linking legacy logic, target design, and test cases.
- Facilitate requirements walkthroughs, scenario workshops, and sign-off sessions with Business Analysts, Business Sponsors, and Testing teams.

- Maintain the Project Scope and Feature documentation (PTS / Confluence) and keep it aligned with evolving requirements.
- Assist in production readiness and defect triage by clarifying intended business behavior against JIRA-tracked defects.
- Support change impact analysis when release scope or timelines shift.
Requirements
- 7+ years as a Business Analyst on data-intensive or platform-migration programs.
- Experience writing functional specifications and traceability documentation for data transformation logic.
- Comfortable working with JIRA, Confluence, and Zephyr (or equivalent test management tooling).
- Strong stakeholder management and facilitation skills; able to run workshops with both business and technical audiences.
