IT Audit Director – Cyber, AI & Cloud

The IT Audit Director – Cyber, AI & Cloud will lead complex technology audits within a large, complex organization and contribute to the mission of transforming business processes through technology.

Location: Reston, VA / Washington, DC – Hybrid (3 days/week onsite).

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute complex IT audits across Cyber, AI, Cloud, and Resiliency.
• Perform technical testing and risk assessments.
• Develop audit strategies and present findings to management.
• Use data analytics, automation, and AI to enhance audit testing.
• Coach and mentor IT audit team members.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in IT Audit, IT Risk, or Information Security.
• Strong hands‑on experience with Cybersecurity, AI, or Cloud Infrastructure/AWS.
• Experience leading complex IT audits from planning through reporting.
• Proficiency with data analytics and Python.
• Experience with Power BI, Tableau, Plotly, or Seaborn.
• Experience auditing AI solutions and AI‑related risks, including knowledge of agentic AI architectures and risks.
• Strong project management and communication skills.
• Experience coaching and mentoring audit staff.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Professional certifications preferred: CISA, CISSP, CISM, CRISC, or CEH.

Pay

Salary range: $175,000–$239,000 per year plus a 35% long‑term incentive.

Schedule

Hybrid work arrangement: three days per week onsite at the Reston, VA / Washington, DC location.
