IT Audit Assurance - Senior Associate

About the role
We currently have an exciting career opportunity for a Senior Associate to join the IT Audit team in our National Assurance practice. This position is considered remote, meaning job duties do not require proximity to a CohnReznick office location. However, remote employees may be required to attend a CohnReznick office with scheduled notice for client work, team meetings, or trainings.
This role will support our IT Audit Group, focusing on conducting SOC1 and SOC2 audits for third-party service providers, as well as internal control assessments and attestations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, scoping, execution, and reporting of a portfolio of IT audits supporting the firm’s public and private company external financial statement audits and SOC 1 and SOC 2 engagements.
- Lead SOC readiness assessments to identify control weaknesses and opportunities for improvement, provide recommendations for corrective action, draft related observations for client leadership, and conduct follow-up remediation activities.
- Proactively communicate status to the IT Assurance lead Partner and work in an integrated manner with leadership of the firm and Audit Partners on Public Company audits.
- Build solid relationships with clients, develop awareness of Firm services, and communicate in an organized and knowledgeable manner.
- Supervise, guide, and coach activities of other department staff with varying skillsets.
- Demonstrate effective planning, coordination, time management, and organization skills.
- Prioritize and complete assignments on time and within budget while remaining agile and adaptable.
- Perform thorough review of work papers to ensure procedures are completed, conclusions are supported, and firm’s quality control procedures are adhered to.
- Contribute technical expertise to engagements and support the learning and development growth of the team.
- Demonstrate knowledge in ITGCs, IT application controls, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), CyberSecurity, regulatory frameworks, and IT infrastructure including databases, networks, and operating systems.
- Proficiency in data analytics using CAAT tools and ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, and JDE security is a plus.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Computer Science/Information Systems; Master’s degree a plus.
- Active CISA certification or working toward a CISA.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience.
- Prior experience managing several engagements simultaneously with competing deadlines.
- Outstanding interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft products.
- Ability to travel and work overtime when necessary.

Pay
In New York City, the salary range for an Assurance Senior Associate is $85,000.00 to $140,000.00.
