IT Assurance Intern

Responsibilities

• Assess the design and effectiveness of IT and business process controls through testing, analysis, and documentation.
• Analyze data to identify control deficiencies, risks, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Support assurance activities by validating control design and operating effectiveness.
• Collaborate with business partners to evaluate and strengthen internal control processes.
• Assist in identifying control gaps and developing practical recommendations to enhance the overall control environment.
• Participate in projects and engagements both independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
• Gain exposure to key business risks, emerging technology-related risks, and assurance practices within a large, complex organization.
• Receive mentorship and guidance from experienced risk and controls professionals while developing technical and professional skills.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting, Information Technology, Operations Management, or related field.
• Action Oriented: Demonstrates initiative, energy, and a strong desire to learn and achieve results.
• Collaborative: Builds positive working relationships and contributes effectively within team environments.
• Strong Communication Skills: Communicates clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, while actively listening to understand diverse perspectives.

• Technical Proficiency: Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
• Organization & Time Management: Effectively prioritizes responsibilities and manages multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Adaptability: Comfortable working independently while collaborating with professionals across all levels of the organization.

Schedule

Approximately 12-week internship session with a hybrid work environment requiring a minimum of three days a week in the office. Interns must be available from May 24, 2027, through August 13, 2027.

Pay

Individual cohort pay rates vary based on location, academic year, and position.

• ME/NC/PA/SC Salary Range: $18.10 - $34.20
• IL/MA/MD Salary Range: $20.00 - $37.80
