Responsibilities
- Cook up the purchase of network hardware, peripherals, and related tech items by teaming up with approved vendors and internal stakeholders.
- Spot savings by using negotiated vendor terms, carrier programs, bulk buying options, and promotional offers to make purchasing more economical.
- Handle outbound logistics for IT assets by crafting, dispatching, and supervising shipments to guarantee prompt and precise delivery.
- Process incoming equipment swiftly, update asset records, and verify inventory specifics when items arrive.
- Oversee the scrapping of outdated network and server gear, including collection, decommissioning, and eco-friendly disposal or recycling.
- Support asset transfers and account amalgamation activities linked with mergers or acquisitions while keeping accurate ownership records.
- Collaborate with Accounting to investigate and settle billing discrepancies, intercompany chargebacks, and invoice-related inquiries.
- Create and maintain clear documentation covering procurement workflows, asset data updates, offboarding procedures, and decommissioning practices.
- Assist with generating and compiling reports connected to inventory, licensing, financial or business operations data.
- Have a knack for ServiceNow or a similar ticketing system, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
- Display strong customer service, analytical, and communication skills, including the ability to explain technical information in a clear and practical manner.
- Document processes thoroughly and adhere to structured procedures to resolve issues efficiently.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or equivalent hands-on experience in a related field.
- At least 2 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to procurement, asset management, or desktop/support operations in a corporate environment.
- Experience handling purchasing, invoices, expense tracking, or account support within a large enterprise setting.
- Working knowledge of account administration tasks such as creating, updating, auditing, or removing user accounts and distribution groups.
- Ability to generate and compile reports tied to inventory, licensing, and financial or business operations data.
- Hands-on experience with ServiceNow or a comparable ticketing platform, as well as proficiency with Microsoft Office 365.
