Issue Resolution Engineer
What's the Job?
Lead triage, containment, and resolution planning for issues identified during general assembly and end-of-line testing across various vehicle systems.
Define and execute short-term containment actions, including rework plans, part quarantine, and build flow protection.
Collaborate cross-functionally to conduct root cause analysis across design, process, supplier, and manufacturing domains, and drive improvements.
Support implementation of permanent corrective actions to prevent recurrence of issues.
Develop and maintain metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track issue health, closure rates, and recurrence, enhancing process efficiency.
What's Needed?
- B.S. or M.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- 6-8 years of experience in automotive OEMs, robotics, aviation, or other complex hardware systems within manufacturing or product engineering environments.
- Strong understanding of vehicle systems such as door systems, latches, actuators, sealing, access panels, glazing, and body structures.
- Proven experience leading root cause analysis and corrective actions in production or field environments, including new product launch support.
- Excellent cross-functional communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment.
