About the role
Kanaan Communications is hiring Inside/Oustide Plant Laborers. This position is ideal for individuals who are mechanically inclined, hardworking, and ready to connect with great benefits.
What You’ll Do
- Install telecommunications cabling through commercial and residential units
- Work on aerial spans to diagnose, repair, or replace the customer’s equipment as needed
- Data collection and test procedures
- Fire caulking, air sealing, and waterproofing work completed
What You’ll Need
- Successful completion of pre-employment background check, motor vehicle check, drug test, and DOT physical exam, resulting in a valid medical card
- A valid, unrestricted driver’s license
- Ability to climb telephone poles and work in a bucket truck and work aloft and climb poles up to 40 feet
- Able to perform all duties in telecommunications construction (such as; pole transfers, maintenance builds, new build, cable installation, over lash, and strand construction)
- High school diploma or GED
- Work aloft up to 40 feet in a bucket truck or on a ladder
- Professional communication with customers and employees
- 1-2 years of Telecommunications experience preferred, but WILL TRAIN
- Knowledge of established aerial cable installation procedures and techniques
- Previous construction experience, preferably in the telecommunications industry
