IS&T Technician

Job Summary

Bechtel is seeking an Information Systems & Technology (IS&T) Technician to join the IS&T team located at the project construction site. The IS&T Technician, reporting to the IS&T Field Lead, will be responsible for support of IS&T infrastructure and services across both the site and field offices.

Major Responsibilities

• Service incidents, requests, and tasks for deployed infrastructure services to end-users.
• Train, problem resolve, hardware, software, and operating system upgrades for end-user computing devices (PCs as well as mobile devices).
• Follow established technology standards, policies, support processes, and security requirements.
• Help establish and monitor metrics on service delivery and customer satisfaction.
• Support collaboration technologies including video conferencing, smart displays like Surface Hubs, Poly, Microsoft Teams.
• Support Local Area Network and Wireless Network, etc.
• Support end user requirements associated with Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, print and file services (including Follow Me Print) and SharePoint.
• Manage and maintain assets and configuration items in ServiceNow.
• Perform moves, adds, and changes.
• Participate in special projects, as assigned.
• Participate in the rollout of new technologies, services, and security remediations.
• Travel to offices/jobsites for short-term project support.
• Provide proactive and timely support to executives and VIPs (direct as well as remote).
• Deploy network, routers, and switches and associated patching.
• Deploy and support Teams voice and Poly video endpoints.
• Develop IT reports, dashboards, and automate workflows as required.
• Recommend process improvement solutions.
• Develop IT support guides and user training.

Education And Experience Requirements

• Requires bachelor's degree (or international equivalent) and 2-5 years of relevant experience or 6-9 years of relevant work experience.
• Microsoft Fundamentals course(s)
• ITIL v4 Foundation course(s)

• Excellent ability to manage competing priorities.
• Providing solutions, troubleshooting complex issues.
• Experience in ServiceNow IT Service Management (ITIL).
• Proficient in managing IT hardware assets.
• Experience in IT vendor management.
• Knowledge of Information security practices.
• End User computing: Windows 10 and 11, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure, Mobile Device Management.
• Modern Collaborative Technologies & Cloud Computing Tools.
• HP/Poly & Microsoft Teams Enterprise Voice and Video Conferencing.
• Microsoft 365 – Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive.
• Azure Active Directory.
• Power-BI and Power-App.
• Engineering Application Suites (Autodesk, Bentley, Trimble, Hexagon, etc.) knowledge desirable.
