IS&T Lead Business Process Automation Developer
About the role
The successful candidate will be a detail-oriented individual who will analyze, design, and implement solutions that streamline and improve business processes. This role requires a unique blend of business analysis, process improvement, and hands-on technical implementation skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead the effort to gather, analyze, and document business requirements.
- Translate these needs into clear technical specifications, designing solutions that leverage the best-fit tool—either BPLogix Process Director for robust, auditable workflows or Power Automate for agile, connector-based automations.
- Analyze existing business processes to identify inefficiencies.
- Implement and develop optimized solutions by building sophisticated forms and approval workflows in Process Director and creating automated flows and integrations with Power Automate to connect disparate systems and services.
- Lead a small team of process automation developers, to include teaching, mentoring, and general team guidance.
- Report to the Process & Data Automation Supervisor with regular updates, recommendations, and performance metrics.
- Manage and facilitate cross-functional teams, including contractors, AF/DOD personnel, and customers, to deliver business process automation projects on time.
- Carefully coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring clear communication and successful outcomes.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements
- Master’s degree in information technology, business, or similar degree.
- 15 years of relevant experience in business analytics and/or business process automation.
- Automation experience may be substituted with other relevant IT experiences.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain security clearance and the AEDC local area network.
- Current U. S. Citizenship required.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience with one or more workflow automation platforms, especially BPLogix Process Director and/or Microsoft Power Automate.
- Skilled in oral and written communication.
- Knowledge of and experience implementing Agile and/or Six Sigma lean methodologies.
- Skilled at building and maintaining personnel and customer relationships.
- Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities.
- Active DoD security clearance or able to obtain an Active DoD security clearance.
- Demonstrated experience in requirements gathering, process analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Proven ability to manage and facilitate projects with diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Experience working within Government, Military, or large-scale environments.
