Responsibilities
- Ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials required to support manufacturing operations.
- Manage material planning, supplier collaboration, inventory optimization, and supply risk mitigation to maintain service levels while minimizing inventory costs.
- Demonstrate and/or lead the commitment to achieving Zero Harm through behavioral-based safety.
- Ensure compliance with applicable HSE performance standards, objectives, and regulations.
- Live and foster the Dyno Nobel Corporate Values.
- Align with Business Excellence, identify and implement frameworks to reduce waste and improve quality, productivity, resource utilization, and safety performance within assigned departments.
- Monitor inventory levels, safety stock parameters, reorder points, and material requirements planning (MRP) outputs.
- Analyze demand, consumption patterns, and forecast changes to ensure timely material availability.
- Identify and resolve material shortages, excess inventory, and slow-moving or obsolete inventory.
- Execute and manage MRP activities within SAP.
- Review system-generated purchase requisitions and planned orders for accuracy.
- Maintain planning parameters, lead times, lot-sizing procedures, and safety stock settings.
- Communicate material requirements, forecasts, and schedule changes to suppliers.
- Monitor supplier performance related to delivery, responsiveness, and service levels.
- Lead supplier follow-up activities to ensure on-time delivery of critical materials.
- Escalate supply issues and coordinate recovery plans with suppliers and Procurement.
- Identify potential supply disruptions and develop mitigation strategies.
- Monitor raw material availability, market conditions, supplier constraints, and transportation risks.
- Develop contingency plans, alternate sourcing options, and inventory buffers for critical materials.
- Track and communicate supply risks through regular reporting and escalation processes.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Business, Engineering, Operations Management, or related field.
- APICS CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent certification preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in supply planning, materials management, inventory management, procurement, or manufacturing planning.
- Experience working within ERP systems, preferably SAP ECC or S/4HANA.
- Experience supporting manufacturing environments and complex supply chains.
- Experience managing supplier relationships and resolving supply issues.
- Proficiency in SAP ECC/S4HANA (MRP, Purchasing, Inventory Management).
- Must be willing to undergo and pass an ATF background check as required to be a possessor of explosives.
