Responsibilities
- Coordinates design, validation, implementation, optimization and upgrade activities across Millennium solutions.
- Works across multiple solutions and stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of projects and ongoing production support of the Millennium EHR.
- Acts as a member of project leadership team, involved in scope decisions, process assessment, design and build, testing, training and delivering business results.
- Identifies key application and workflow integration points that may affect design decisions and supports the management of domain strategies, code management, change management, issue management and escalation and system optimization.
- Acts as an application team lead for the Cerner team and provides associate mentorship.
Requirements
- Code Management – Tracks, installs and validates coordination for all content and ongoing Millennium release packages.
- Upgrade strategy and assists with project management responsibilities during a Millennium Upgrade.
- Responsible for tracking Solution Changes (CRs) for resolved code.
- Change Management – Assists in facilitating review, initial and production approvals of all changes being requested to the Cerner Millennium system.
- Ensures adequate change control processes are in place (ie. non-prod validation, test plans with backout steps, change control windows) and develops strategies to streamline maintenance changes.
- Domain Strategy – Understands all aspects of domain strategy and assists in developing timelines and technical dependencies for projects impacting Cerner Millennium; Plans domain refreshes and facilitates de-prod activities with solution resources.
- LightsOn – Reviews Millennium Checks and coordinates compliance across all Solution areas, specifically for broad and critical impact items.
- Supports – Escalation point of contact for domain or cross-solution issues, liaison with CWx and local technical team to understand infrastructure design that impacts Cerner Millennium, reviews open Service Records with EHR Support and ensures timely communication/resolution, escalates as needed.
- Maintains awareness and reviews Millennium Flashes and communication internally as needed.
- Affords testing activities are adequate and effective for ongoing production changes as well as any projects that are impactful to the Cerner Millennium environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems Management, Information Technology, Business, Health Information Management, or related health care field from an accredited college or university OR equivalent work experience.
- Minimum 5 years' experience in information services or equivalent experience in a related field.
- Healthcare experience preferred.
- Certain positions may require experience in a specialty (such as lab, pharmacy, financials, or materials management).
