Irsay Family YMCA - Custodian (Female Locker Room, Evenings)

About the role

The Custodian I position will be responsible for the cleanliness of the facility which will include working with cleaning chemicals and equipment, operating back pack vacuums, up right vacuums, carpet extractors, rotary floor machines, mopping floors and climbing ladders.

Responsibilities

• Perform simple maintenance and housekeeping tasks such as cleaning restrooms/showers, floors, mopping, windows, vacuuming, sweeping, dusting, setting up rooms, arranging furniture, and removing trash
• Providing notification of janitorial supplies and equipment needing replenished
• Keep the building in a clean and orderly condition
• Perform heavy cleaning duties on occasion, such as shampooing rugs, washing walls, and removing rubbish
• Notify management of need for repairs
• Clean snow or debris from sidewalk
• Other duties as assigned
